Competent Person of Testing and Inspection of Cast-in Anchors for Attachment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment for Air-conditioner Platforms at External Walls

The aim of the accreditation services of "Competent Person of Testing and Inspection of Cast-in Anchors for Attachment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment for Air-conditioner Platforms at External Walls" (CACP) is to ensure that CACPs possess the necessary qualifications and capability in performing the specified duties in inspecting and testing of Cast-In Anchor, for the attachment of personal fall protection equipment for air conditioners platform at external walls.

Criteria for Initial Accreditation
  • Have successfully completed and passed the examination of Certification of Competence in the Testing and Inspection of Cast-in Anchors for Attachment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment for Air-conditioner Platforms at External Walls; and

  • Possess a valid Construction Industry Safety Card (a photocopy of the certificate to be submitted by the applicant); and

  • The applicants has satisfactorily completed formal training as Refrigeration/ Air-conditioning/ Ventilation Mechanic, such as an apprenticeship given under section 28 of the Apprenticeship Ordinance (Cap 47) in the trade of refrigeration/ air-conditioning mechanic, refrigeration mechanic or air-conditioning mechanic; or passed the trade test certificate for Refrigeration/ Air-conditioning/ Ventilation Mechanic (Water System, Air System, Thermal Insulation, Unitary System or Electrical Control) issued by VTC or CICTA; or certificate of registration as an electrical worker issued under section 30 of the Electricity Ordinance (Cap. 406) on which the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services specifies that the holder is entitled to do electrical work on an air-conditioning installation; or registration under the Construction Workers Registration Ordinance (Cap. 583) as a registered skilled worker in the trade of Refrigeration/ Air-conditioning/ Ventilation Mechanic (Master, Water System, Air System, Thermal Insulation, Unitary System, Electrical Control) (a photocopy of the certificate to be submitted by the applicant); and

  • Who possesses experience of 4 years or more in Refrigeration/ Air-conditioning/ Ventilation work (proof of working experience to be submitted by the applicant).

Initial Accreditation Course Details
Criteria for Renewal
  • CACP Renewal:
  • The CACP accreditation is valid for two years.

  • Criteria for Renewal:
  • The applicant is a valid holder of a "Certification of Competence in the Testing and Inspection of Cast-in Anchors for Attachment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment for Air-conditioner Platforms at External Walls" issued by the OSHC and the certificate will expire within three months or has expired not more than three months; and

  • The applicant has successfully completed and passed the "Revalidation Course of Competence in the Testing and Inspection of Cast-in Anchors for Attachment of Personal Fall Protection Equipment for Air-conditioner Platforms at External Walls"; and

  • The applicant possesses a valid Construction Industry Safety Card (a photocopy of the certificate to be submitted by the applicant); and
